❋
Kitchen Talks: informal gartherings of Art and Food
What to Expect
Fresh Stalls is launching a new series of community events at the Food Lab in Lola Lokaal 432 to explore the connections between food, culture, health, and sustainability. The aim is to create informal, welcoming gatherings where cooking and eating together become a starting point for conversation.
❋ Meal preparation
For each event, selected guest chefs—artists and cultural practitioners—will invite participants to prepare a dish together. The shared meal will open up dialogue around their work, experiences, and the social or cultural themes they wish to bring into the neighbourhood.
❋ Conviviality
These are not formal art events, but convivial social occasions designed to connect IJburg residents, Lola Lokaal co-workers, and the wider community through food and storytelling.
❋ When
From late January to late June, we will host one gathering per month for small groups of up to 25 people.
❋ The Food Lab
The Food Lab is a shared kitchen and community space for collective, conscious cooking and neighborhood gatherings. It offers a place where people can meet, learn, and enjoy preparing healthy food together, using equipment that is open and accessible to all.
